1. Data controller

The data controller is Yoshox, the publisher of Tavukoi. For any question about your data, you can write to contact@tavukoi.com or support@tavukoi.com.

2. Data we collect

When you sign in with Google, we receive:

• Your Google account identifier
• Your email address
• Your display name
• Your profile picture (if available)

As you use the app, we also store the data you generate yourself:

• Your watchlist of movies/shows to watch
• Titles and episodes you've marked as watched, and your episode-by-episode progress
• Your ratings (0 to 5) for movies and shows
• Your preferences (language, public or private profile visibility)
• A custom profile picture and banner, if you choose to upload one (in addition to the default Google photo)
• Your bio, if you fill one in
• Your date of birth and country, if you fill them in
• Your social media handles (Instagram, Facebook, X, Discord, TikTok), if you choose to display them on your profile
• The languages you indicate you understand
• Your custom lists and favorites (separate from your watchlist)
• Your followers and the accounts you follow, if you use the social features
• Your watch-history data, if you choose to import it from TV Time

No location data, no advertising identifier, and no third-party tracker is collected. The app only requests Internet access permission.

3. Why we use this data

• Create and secure your account, and let you sign back in on any device
• Power the tracking, rating, and collection-organizing features
• Display your public profile (bio, picture, social handles) if you choose to make it visible
• Respond to your requests when you contact us

4. Legal basis

Processing your data is based on the performance of the contract between you and Tavukoi when you use the app (providing the requested service), and on your explicit consent for the optional information you choose to provide (bio, date of birth, social handles, etc.).

5. Who has access to your data

Your data is never sold or shared for advertising purposes. It is only accessible to:

• Tavukoi's publisher, strictly for running the service
• The server host (OVH SAS, France), which technically stores the database
• Google, as part of signing in through its authentication service

Requests to TMDB (content, posters) never transmit any personal data about you: they're only used to fetch public information about movies and shows.

Streaming availability shown in the app comes from JustWatch. These requests likewise never transmit any personal data about you: they're only used to fetch, for a given movie or show, the list of streaming platforms it's available on.

6. Retention period

Your data is kept for as long as your account exists. If you request account deletion, your data is removed from our servers within 30 days at most.

7. Security

• The session token is stored encrypted on your device (AES-256 encryption)
• Traffic between the app and the server is encrypted (HTTPS)
• The database is hosted in France, with OVH

8. Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the following rights over your data:

• Right of access to your data
• Right to rectification
• Right to erasure (account deletion)
• Right to data portability
• Right to object and to restrict processing

If you believe your rights aren't being respected, you can also file a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL (www.cnil.fr).

9. Cookies and trackers on the website

The tavukoi.com website doesn't use any cookies, analytics tools (like Google Analytics), or advertising trackers. The fonts used are self-hosted: no request is sent to third-party services while you browse.

10. Children

Tavukoi is accessible from age 13, in line with its age rating on the Google Play Store. If you're a parent and believe your child under 13 has shared personal data with us, contact us at contact@tavukoi.com so we can remove it.

11. Changes to this policy

This privacy policy may be updated, notably as the app or applicable regulations evolve. The date at the top of this page reflects the latest change.
